Word 2003
- From the menu select File > Page Setup.
- Go to the Layout tab.
- Click Line Numbers to open the Line Numbers window.
- Select your preferences, then click OK to exit all windows.
Word 2007
- Go to the Page Layout tab on the ribbon.
- Click Line Numbers.
- Select your preferences.
