UI wireframe and prototyping resources

October 13, 2009

Here’s a small collection of user interface (UI) wireframing and prototyping resources I’ve come across over the past few months. I haven’t needed to use any of them, so I can’t vouch for their ease of use, but they all look interesting and could save a LOT of the time typically associated with paper prototyping.

  1. Good to see more info on prototyping and wireframing. Just wanted to add another well-known resource: ProtoShare

  2. You should also try out Justinmind Prototyper. It’s a great tool for high fidelity wireframes.

  3. Add to the list iPlotz, an online and offline wireframing tool

  4. Another one that works very well both for wireframes and rich interactive prototyes is FlairBuilder. It supports rich interactions, multi-page wireframes, masters and many more.

    Try it online at http://www.flairbuilder.com

  5. A wireframe tool with different approach is WireframeSketcher. It integrates with your IDE and works with software like Aptana, Eclipse, Flash Builder, Zend Studio and others.
