XML in Author-it
January 21, 2008There are two ‘versions’ of XML in Author-it Enterprise edition:
- XML as an output (publishing) option, and
- importing and exporting Author-it XML objects.
To export selected Author-it objects as an XML file, search and select the ones you want, right-click on the selection, then choose XML > Save to file.
Once exported, you can import those objects back in to the same Author-it library, overwriting the existing objects (useful if you can’t fix something in an existing object), or import them in to another library as new objects. Very handy for transferring data between Author-it libraries!
